Massage | Reiki | Pet Sitting | Education
I believe most pets prefer receiving massage at home, so most appointments will be scheduled in your home. For dogs, the first appointment may last up to 75 minutes as I get to know you and your dog. The typical follow-up appointment will last about 40-60 minutes. Cat massage sessions tend to last 30-40 minutes. Sessions include a variety of massage modalities that will be tailored to address the specific needs of your dog or cat at the time of the appointment. Please note, travel and/or parking fee will be added at therapists' discretion.
Initial appointment: $90
Follow-up appointment: $75
Cat massage: $60
Though Beloved Canine specializes in care for geriatric, hospice and paralyzed and disabled pets, we work with a lot of young animals that are perfectly fit and just need a little tune-up. You might not be sure if massage is the right thing for your dog or cat. That's okay. Let's find out together. Chances are very good that they will love it!
Massage and other bodywork modalities are not considered a substitute for veterinary care. They are a complementary form of health care. Beloved Canine recommends routine veterinary care for your pets. If your dog or cat has any symptoms of injury or disease, please consult with your veterinarian before starting any massage program.
A typical Reiki session typically lasts approximately 30 minutes. Reiki is a spiritual healing practice and not a massage technique. During the session, I may place my hands directly on your pet's body or I may sit quietly on the floor nearby without touching him or her. Reiki is safe for all beings. It benefits all the body's systems and helps bring the body into a relaxed and balanced state. Reiki is a wonderful resource for pets experiencing chronic pain or illness, anxiety, fear, touch reactivity, as well as animals in hospice care.
Full Reiki session: $60
10-minute Reiki treatment (added to massage): $10
Do you have a pet with special needs? Do you ever worry about your dog or cat when you need to be away from the house for longer than usual? Beloved Canine's Day Visit program could be a solution for you. This is not a typical dog walking service, but rather what I like to think of as safety and comfort checks. I will administer medication, express your pet's bladder and help them access drinking water or eat food. For seniors who have difficulty holding it all day, I can let them outside for a potty break. Day visits are customized to meet the needs of each client. Cat visits include any necessary feeding, medications, litter box scooping and play and/or snuggles.
$20 for a 20-minute visit (weekdays, 10am to 5pm)
$25 for 20-minute visit (weekends, holidays or weekday off hours)
Additional fees may apply for multi-pet households
I know all too well how stressful it can be to find a pet sitter to take care of an animal with disabilities. Beloved Canine offers overnight care for your dog or cat. If you have a trip coming up and you are looking for someone who really understands the needs of your pet, please give me a call so we can discuss availability.
I also offer customized care plans for pets with special circumstances that require around-the-clock care. Give me a call and we can discuss the options available. Overnights for one pet start at $60.
Additional fees apply for puppy or kitten care, multiple pets, around-the-clock care, travel outside of Chicago, and extended stays.
Beloved Canine offers educational sessions for people, as well. Consultations for individual families last approximately 60 minutes and start at $75. I also occasionally offer presentations to larger groups in a classroom setting. If you are interested in scheduling a presentation, please give me a call so we can discuss the possibilities.
